This opening address will explore the biography of Ellen White
as a growing Christian, a wife and mother, a pioneer church
leader and co-founder, and a messenger of God.

A Path to Disengagement
This presentation explores some of the factors that contributed to the ever-increasing
disengagement of many Seventh-day Adventists from Ellen White. Particular attention is given to
how belief in verbal inspiration by many Seventh-day Adventists negatively impacted Ellen White’s
image as a messenger of the Lord and contributed to misunderstanding and misuse of her writings.

Using and Interpreting Ellen White
This seminar will develop an Ellen White hermeneutic
(laws of interpretation) and explore proper ways to use
Ellen White’s writings in our study, church, school, and home.

Question and Answer Period
This final section will be a panel question and answer
format featuring all four of our guest presenters.
