Gary F. Thurber is the new president of the Rocky Mountain Conference, having accepted the invitation of delegates at their June 7 Triennial Constituency Session. With a majority vote of 74 percent, they followed the recommendation of the Rocky Mountain Conference nominating committee.
Delegates also reelected vice presidents Eric Nelson for administration and Rick Roy for finance.
Outgoing president Jim Brauer received enthusiastic appreciation from delegates for his 14 years of faithful and visionary leadership. To close the session, delegates swarmed in a circle of affirmation and intercession around Elder Brauer as he leaves them and considers opportunities for his next leadership position.
