The Adventist Church has a global mission, driven by the vision described in Revelation 14:6-12, to proclaim the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people on Planet Earth; to prepare a people to meet the Lord.
In order to assist conferences and unions in this God-given mission, the North American Division shares with them funds given by members to the Mission Investment Fund (two unions each year, on a rotating basis) and the Thirteenth Sabbath and Mission Extension funds (every five years). Part of this funding comes from the Food Label Investment Program.
UPC barcodes from specific Kellogg's foods (includes Loma Linda, Morningstar Farms, Natural Touch and Worthington), as well as Cedar Lake foods are eligible for redemption at 5 cents each.
For Cedar Lake food labels:

For Kellogg food labels:
Cut out the upc barcodes off from the label and submit them to your local investment leader or other designated person. They will then submit the barcodes to the RMC, along with a special report, required by Kellogg.
The RMC submits a quarterly report of all the labels received to food companies and will receive a check. Your church will be credited with donating the funds to the Mission Investment fund.
