LaVida Mission Church holds evangelistic meetings
Seventeen people were baptized at LaVida Mission Church, Lake Valley Area, N.M., as a result of the ongoing evangelistic efforts at the PreK-12 LaVida Mission Academy. Please read the article we received about this very special baptism in this mission field right in our backyard!
The Miracle of a New Life
The chorus of a song I loved to sing even when I was a child goes like this: “It took a miracle to put the stars in place, it took a miracle to hang the world in space, but when He saved my soul, cleansed and made me whole, it took a miracle of love and grace.” Indeed! And when people respond to that miracle of love and grace, another miracle — the “miracle of a new life” begins!
In the article I wrote in last month’s issue of Navajo News, I asked you to join us in prayers that we may see “miracles of lives changed and transformed by God’s grace.” I’m happy to tell you that we’ve witnessed these miracles as the love and gospel of Jesus was preached and proclaimed in this mission field, and 17 of our students and community family members decided to give their lives to Jesus, accept Him as their personal Savior through baptism, and start a new life in Him. Many struggled with their decision. Thank God for making these “miracles of a new life” happen.
You, our dear readers and supporters, are part of these miracles. Thank you for allowing God to continue to work a miracle of generosity in your hearts so many more “miracles of new lives” may happen and continue to happen in this place. And please continue to join us in prayers and support us as we do follow-up work this summer with these new babies for Christ and among those who are still in the valley of decision for Jesus. Watch out for more news about the new adventure we’ll be doing with Jesus, starting in June in Crownpoint, N.M., and neighboring communities. God bless you all! —Dorie Panganiban, outreach coordinator, LaVida Mission
