Fostering Love at Mile High Academy »
“Palmer I got you! We can use my money for supplies for foster kids!” enthused the students in Russell Palmer's
"Fostering Love" Real World Learning class.
Palmer's class is working to help foster kids all over the Denver metro area. Last week, he had planned to go to Dollar Tree to get supplies for care packages for foster kids, but they hadn’t raised any money yet. It was when he announced this to the class, that the kids jumped out of their seats and opened their wallets and started handing him their own money.
"What an amazing picture of truly cheerful givers," Palmer said. I know God smiles at their hearts. So off we went to Dollar Tree to purchase toiletries, school supplies, and toys for foster kids in Colorado. We got our first box packed full of stuff and sent the box off to “Hope and Home”
